Description

The emergency generator at the BESC is past is useful life and needs to be replaced. It was determined through investigation that the existing location of the generator is not in compliance with current code and that work to update the space to meet code would be substantial and likely cost prohibitive. The contractor is to purchase and install a new emergency generator that meets the drawings, specifications, PPS Design Standards, and all applicable codes and install it on the BESC fleet deck per the bid documents. The contractor will then run new conduit and wire in the pathway shown on the bid documents and tie the wiring into the existing emergency generator system and make the specified system upgrades to the existing equipment. Finally, the contractor will disassemble, hauloff, and dispose of the existing generator, housekeeping pad, fuel tank, fill station, and other items noted in the bid documents. This "Summary of Work" should be used in conjunction to the bid documents and does not surmise all work related to this project.
