Description

The Park Traffic Entry Improvement project consists of reducing the size of the existing "pork chop" landscape island at the park entry to increase entry and exit lane widths for better large vehicle access and improved approach visibility. The improvements include demolition of existing curb and landscaping, and the installation of new asphalt paving, curbs and pavement markings. Repair or reconstruction of irrigation in the landscape island may be necessary. An add alternate for the contractor to grind additional paving at the entry to smooth out the asphalt edge transitions. Temporary traffic control and flagging services are included in the scope of work. Blue Lake Regional Park is an active facility. On-site work is to occur in a work window between September 17, 2018 and October 26, 2018 and last no longer than three days in order to minimize impacts on park operations. A Voluntary Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for all potential prime and sub-contractors on July 03, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Blue Lake Regional Park (park entrance), located at 20500 NE Marine Dr, Fairview, OR 97024. Interested sub-contractors are also invited. This opportunity is part of Metro's COBID Marketplace. This program is for construction opportunities less than $50,000. These opportunities are bid among State of Oregon certified COBID firms. Competitive bidding requirements apply, but the opportunity is within the marketplace of COBID certified firms.
