Project Scope: The scope of this project is to remove existing Right-of-Way fence and replaces it in-kind using a Type 1-6W Fence along the Eastbound section of I-84 between Mile Points 272.85 and 275.78. The existing fence is located in a sensitive archeological area. Tribal direction allows replacing fence T-posts in-kind with slight alignment variation as noted on project plans. Existing cemented brace and corner posts shall be reused unless new construction is approved by the project engineer or as noted on the project plans. Contractor Responsibilities: The Contractor shall furnish all material, labor, and equipment necessary to perform all tasks in accordance with the enclosed standard drawings, detailed specifications, terms, and conditions on the basis of the per item price(s). LOCATES: Contractor shall seek underground utility locates prior to installing any portion of the new fence. If adjustment to the fence location is needed to avoid underground utilities, the project manager will review conflict with Engineer and accommodate reasonable alternate locations. Section 00150 reviews contractor obligation. ODOT Responsibilities: 1. Identify/clarify fence location on the plans and in the field as required. 2. Identify culvert & ditch crossing and wire panel locations (noted on project plans). 3. Identify locations requiring 8' long T-posts (noted on project plans). Applicable Standard Specifications: "2018 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction". All number references in these Special Provisions shall be understood to refer to the Sections and subsections of the Standard Specifications and Supplemental Specifications bearing like numbers and to Sections and subsections contained in these Special Provisions in their entirety. Liquidated Damages: $300 per calendar day This ESB Project must be completed by June 25, 2019. Due to the limited budget the project may be scaled back or adjusted as needed to match the budget. COMPLETION DATES (See the Standard Specifications for Construction for definitions of substantial and final completion. A link to the Standard Specifications for Construction is provided in Attachment C.): Final Completion: June 25, 2019. The work contemplated under an awarded Contract includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and services for, and incidental to, the completion of all work in connection with the project described in the Contract Documents.
